Life working in the skies comes with its challenges, yet cabin crew always go far beyond their standard job description to ensure passengers are safe and have the best flight experience. Above and beyond, their heroic moments at 35,000 feet can range from administering cpr to easing the nerves of a frightened first-time flyer.

At skypro we see you, and we care. In 2020, we want everyone else to see you, too.

Welcome to our skyhero recognition initiative!

To participate we invite airlines, passengers and crew to nominate a SkyHero for something amazing they accomplished on the job.

Skypro will not only give some much-deserved recognition to these heroic efforts, but reward the selected SkyHero of the month (and their nominator) with a free pair of SkyHealth Technology shoes from our collection, developed for the specific needs of aviation professionals.

Read on for specific entry details!

A training program that is harder to get into than Harvard; working days that begin before the sun rises and finish way after sunset; strict grooming standards; working through holidays; fighting a constant battle with jetlag and fatigue; and the daily responsibility for the safe transport of hundreds of lives… Life at 35,000 feet sure isn’t easy.

Yet cabin crew face this reality on a daily basis with a smile. Sure they get to travel the world and meet interesting people, but few appreciate all cabin crew are actually capable of and how much hard work it takes to ensure passengers can sit back and enjoy their flights.

These Heroes of the Sky are trained to save lives, deliver babies, evacuate an entire plane in under 90 seconds, survive extreme conditions, manage conflict and even spot human trafficking.

Responding to emergencies big and small becomes a matter of instinct, yet with crew fluctuations and loved ones far away in another time zone, their heroic moments are often unnoticed.

At Skypro, we live to care for the health and wellbeing of these SkyHeroes, which is why every month in 2020 we will be honoring their heroic moments. To participate we invite airlines, passengers and crew to nominate a SkyHero for something amazing they have accomplished:

  1. POST Their story on either Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram
  2. TAG your SkyHero and show them you recognize their work
  3. HASHTAG #SkyproHero so we can find your post

The monthly winner and its nominee will each receive a free pair of shoes from our collection, developed with SkyHealth Technology for the specific needs of aviation professionals.

So what are you waiting for? Nominate a SkyHero today!

We look forward to hearing their stories and honoring our SkyHeroes.

SKYPRO is IATA’s only strategic partner in the development of uniforms and shoes that are specifically made to improve the health and wellbeing of aviation professionals. Meanwhile we look after uniform management from end-to-end so that airlines can devote more time caring for their crews and passengers. Find out more at corporate.wearskypro.com.
