The leather used by SKYPRO in all products – shoes, gloves, belts, handbags – is innocuous, to guarantee long term health protection to all cabin crew and all professionals using SKYPRO products all over the world.

Innocuous means completely harmless. That can’t cause any harm to your health, wellbeing or environment. Our leather won’t irritate your skin and will not cause damage to your health; it is 100% free from chemicals and dangerous substances like: chromium, aromatic amines, formaldehyde, organotin compounds, FMFY or heavy metals that are used in a lot of cabin crew uniforms and footwear.

At SKYPRO we request from all our suppliers leather in the best conditions of quality, resistance, efficiency and long lasting. Nowadays quality shoes are made using a nesting manufacturing process. Even the finest manufacturing process is not worth much if the materials used are insufficient in quality or composition. Premium leathers are indispensable to produce a premium shoe and provide excellence in the uniform dress code.

The leather-making process can be very damaging for the environment and human health. The chemicals used, for example, in most tanning processes around the world include dangerous substances for the environment like chromium and other hazardous compounds. This is common practice in regions that don’t have environmental laws protection or standards, such as China, India or Bangladesh. The leather making process with chemicals is also very dangerous to the workers’ health, through breathing or touching the materials. When inhaled chromium acts as a lung irritant and carcinogen, affecting the upper respiratory tract. When touched without protection handling gloves chromium can cause dry, cracked and scaled skin, as well as dermatitis. The heavy use of polluting chemicals in the tanning process and the air pollution due to the transformation process of the leather can cause a very negative environmental impact. At SKYPRO all we do is rigorously planned to protect the environment.

All leathers used in SKYPRO products production are from Portugal by suppliers that ensure a 100% leather tanning process free from chemicals or dangerous substances for human health. Portugal production is known by the quality of the manufactured production process and raw materials.

The Health and Wellbeing of all people using SKYPRO products is our number one priority. Nothing beats a comfortable fitting, breathness, excellent walking experience, the best anti-skid nitrile natural rubber sole that absorbs impact and reduces fatigue; the high quality long lasting leather; combined with the best leather production process with zero dangerous substances for the health of our clients, and for people working with our suppliers.

Choose a premium experience and unparalleled comfort for your daily working life. Focus on your airline and professional career development and the wellbeing of your passengers. We take care of your safety and wellbeing, offering you the best performance wearing your uniform!
