Do you ever thought that being a flight attendant is synonymous of having a glamorous life full of adventure and all sort of things that leave the ordinary mortals jealous?  That the work is too easy for the amazing conditions that cabin crew members have? Well, there is more to this work than just having perfect make-up and hair and wearing fancy Uniforms while serving coffees, teas and meals to passengers.

Being a cabin crew worker came with certain advantages that makes the work desirable. One of the great advantages of being an air hostess is that you get to see new places while you are being paid for it. Also, you can have holidays for a small price as most airlines offers big discounts to their employees in flights. It allows you to meet new people, experience new cultures and learn new languages.

Although you have to work for long hours, you also have a lot of free time, since flight attendants have extra days off when compared with regular jobs.

On the other hand, work as a cabin crew have some risks. Despite flight attendants being highly trained to deal with some flight complications, it’s still a risk profession that involves emotional balance and a great capacity to keep calm. You have to know how to deal with disruptive passengers and being polite no matter what.

Furthermore, it’s not a very healthy profession. You don’t have a regular sleep time, don’t eat regularly, have to support different temperatures and weathers, and spend many hours on your feet with the wrong footwear.

Being a part of a cabin crew it’s a challenge every day. Fortunately we have great professionals in the airlines industry that makes difference every day.

What about you? What do you think about being a flight attendant? We look forward to know your opinions!
