For cabin crew choosing a perfect pair of airline shoes is absolutely fundamental since they past the most part of the time standing on their feet. It is really important that the shoes fit properly and have some specific characteristics. SKYPRO gives you some guidelines for you to choose the perfect cabin crew shoes for you.

Footwear has a profound influence on the foot, good or bad, depending on whether the footwear is appropriate for the individual. The main goal of an airline shoe is to provide comfort and protection in everyday working activities. To choose the perfect pair of crew shoes you must consider the foot shape for better distribution body weight, avoiding nailed high heels, go for shoes with a roomy toe box and opt for upper and lining natural materials.

There are also some recommendations for footwear selection:

  • Have both feet measured every time you purchase airline shoes. Your foot size increases as you get older.
  • Flight attendants should not wear a crew shoe with a heel higher than 2 1/4 inches.
  • Try on new airline shoes at the end of the day. Your feet normally swell and become larger after standing or sitting during the day.
  • Shoes should be fitted carefully to your heel as well as your toes.
  • Try on both shoes.
  • Fit new shoes to your largest foot. Most people have one foot larger than the other.
  • Walk around in the work shoes to make sure they fit well and feel comfortable.
  • Sizes vary among shoe brands and styles. Judge a shoe by how it fits on your foot not by the marked size.
  • When the shoe is on your foot, you should be able to freely wiggle all of your toes.
