Having years of experience in the industry, SKYPRO is familiar with the reservations of some companies in embracing eco-friendly materials for their Uniforms.

This hesitation primarily arises from concerns about higher costs and doubts about the technical performance of recycled materials compared to conventional fabrics.

We saw this challenge as an opportunity to revolutionize the industry.

Our task became clear: to create a seamless solution between eco-friendly materials and high-performance uniforms.

We believed that, if we combined effort, focus and our unique expertise, we could find a better composition of textiles that are resilient, safe, and comfortable for Uniforms, whilst being kind to the environment.

In-depth research sets a new quality benchmark for eco-fabrics

So, we started working to bridge the gap between eco-friendly materials and high-performance uniforms.

Our team of passionate experts worked tirelessly to identify and test eco-friendly raw materials suitable for intensive use. They focused on assessing the physical-mechanical performance and durability of these materials in comparison to those currently available in the market.

In this in-depth technical analysis, more than a hundred potential materials were tested to their limits. Then, our experts narrow the list down to only the most relevant and capable of accomplishing SKYPRO Uniform requirements.

At this step of validation, the materials were tested for the following:

  1. Price validation: The eco-fabric couldn’t cost more than 30% more than regular fabrics;
  2. Transparency validation: It couldn’t be more see-through than regular fabrics;
  3. Wrinkle resistance: it should be an easy-to-iron with less wrinkling;
  4. Touch validation: and, of course, it had to be comfortable to wear and soft on the skin.

For the materials selected in this first round, SKYPRO involved an independent testing laboratory to undertake a second battery of tests, namely:

  1. Dimensional stability, to prevent shrinkage;
  2. Anti-pilling, to avoid clothing fuzzing appearance;
  3. Color fastness, to determine how quickly the fabric loses its color;
  4. Washing resistance;
  5. Mechanical performance, resistance to tearing, elongation and bursting.

SKYPRO’s eco-friendly fabrics redefine Uniform excellence

SKYPRO’s rigorous investigation has revealed that certain cellulosic fibers and recycled polyesters stand out with the lowest environmental impact and superior wearing performance for Uniforms.

Through this extensive research and testing, SKYPRO’s investigation has uncovered compelling facts about the ideal materials for Uniforms.

Among them, specific cellulosic fibers and recycled polyesters have emerged as frontrunners, boasting the remarkable combination of the lowest environmental impact and unmatched wearing performance.

With this groundbreaking discovery, SKYPRO sets a new standard for sustainability in the Uniform Industry, offering eco-conscious solutions without compromising on quality or functionality.

After meticulous selection, our specialists have chosen the finest 1-2 materials for each outfit type (shirt, pants, coat etc.), paving the way for large-scale production.

SKYPRO is now at the forefront of these new eco-fabric trends, with a range of next-generation textiles from regenerated and recycled fibers, including some upcycled from our own end-of-life garments.

We are here to dispel any doubts and show the world that sustainability and top-notch performance can go hand in hand.
